About me

A warm, human approach grounded in respect for your story.

Portrait of Jayne Swepson, counsellor

I offer counselling for adults aged 18+ in a warm, trauma-informed and person-centred way. My approach is based on the belief that people are not broken. Often, they are carrying pain, patterns or experiences that have made life feel harder than it needs to be.

My story

Life is layered, and so is therapy.

As a mother of four, I understand that life can be complex, demanding and emotionally layered. My personal and professional values are rooted in empathy, honesty, resilience and the belief that support should feel human, not clinical or intimidating.

My approach

Humanistic and solution-focused.

I work in a humanistic and solution-focused way. This means I will listen deeply, respect your pace, and help you explore both your inner world and practical ways forward. Where helpful, I may draw on approaches such as CBT, Transactional Analysis and EMDR.
