What personal data is collected

When you contact me through this website I collect your name, email address, optional phone number, and the information you share in the message. If we begin working together, I will keep limited written notes in line with BACP guidance.

Why it is collected

To respond to your enquiry, arrange an initial conversation, and if relevant, to support the safe delivery of counselling.

How enquiries are stored

Enquiries are stored securely and shared only with you. Email correspondence is held within a secure email account protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.

How long information is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to ongoing work are deleted within 12 months. Client notes are retained in line with BACP recommended practice and professional indemnity requirements.

Confidentiality

What you share is confidential. Limits to confidentiality (safeguarding, legal requirements, risk to life) will be explained clearly before any work begins.

Your GDPR rights

You have the right to ask what data is held about you, to request corrections, to ask for deletion (subject to legal retention requirements), and to make a complaint to the ICO.
